What You’ll Get To Do Panasonic’s development, delivery and support for solutions for manufacturing using Industrial Internet of things IIoT Technologies requires proficiency in many wireless technologies at numerous Radio Frequencies (RF). The candidate possesses expertise in RF antenna design, simulation, and algorithm development with demonstrable experiences in commercially successful endeavors. Development and delivery of cost-effective RF antenna designs for commercial wireless products manufactured in high volume RF Protocol Design, Consultation and Implementation (proprietary, IEEE 801.15.4, BLE, Wi-Fi, UWB, et al): • Develop and implement among team of IIoT firmware/hardware engineers • Design/implement/debug/diagnose wireless protocols for bi-directional data communication in low-cost, battery-powered IIoT devices Real Time Location Services (RTLS) Algorithm Design, Product Integration, Solution Deployment: • Develop and implement within a team of IIoT engineers, leading when appropriate • Design/implement/debug/diagnose real-time location systems using various wireless / RF signals and methods. • Direct customer and sales team interaction, cooperation and support • incumbent would have to be able to enter secure facilities in domestic United States. Specific business tasks and objectives which will vary by project, but require: • Experience in ANSYS HFSS or similar RF simulation software • Experience in low cost prototype mock up and testing to prove the concept ahead of manufacture • Experience with DFx (DFA, DFM, DFC) and FMEA methodologies • Experience with electronics packaging methods, constraints and knowledge of electronics standards • Experience with application and compliance processes for FCC, UL, EMC, RTTE, RoHS, WEEE directives • Experience in generating IP (Intellectual Property) documentation • Ability to deploy working systems in indoor factory and outdoor field environments • Ability to move lab equipment and computers, antennas and analyzers • Ability to climb a ladder up to a 15’ height or ride in a portable lift to a height of 25’ What You’ll Bring Scope: This position requires an experienced individual contributor who specializes in RF engineering. Education & Experience • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics required. Advanced engineering degree preferred. • At least 10 - 15 years of commercially successful product development experience. • Position relies on a foundation of RF theory coupled with practical industrial and commercial experience. • Veterans with appropriate military experience will be considered along with necessary educational background.
