Job Description


A Chocolates Caffe Chef is responsible for creating a variety of chocolate-based desserts and confectioneries, including pastries, and other chocolate products. They should have a strong passion for chocolate and a creative flair for combining different ingredients to produce delicious and visually appealing desserts. The Chocolates Café Chef must ensure that all products meet the highest quality standards, are presented well, and are delivered on time. They must also have the ability to manage and train junior chefs, collaborate with other team members, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and create new chocolate-based dessert recipes while maintaining high-quality standards and consistency.
  • Prepare, bake, and decorate a wide range of chocolate desserts and confectioneries, including pastries, and other chocolate products.
  • Manage and train junior chefs to ensure they meet the quality standards and expectations of the café.
  • Collaborate with other team members, such as the cafe manager, to ensure that all products are delivered on time and presented well.
  • Ensure that the work environment is clean, organized, and meets health and safety standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure high-quality ingredients are obtained at a reasonable cost.
  • Stay current with industry trends, new ingredients, and techniques to incorporate them into new recipes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chocolates Cafe Chef.
  • In-depth knowledge of chocolate products, pastry, and dessert techniques.
  • Ability to create new recipes and develop existing ones.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and train junior chefs.
  • Ability to collaborate with other team members to meet objectives and targets.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Education and Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma in culinary arts or pastry arts is preferred.
  • Certification in chocolate making or confectionery arts is a plus.
  • Relevant work experience in a cafe or restaurant environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From AED3,500.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

  • Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Chocolate Chef: 3 years (Preferred)

Language:

  • ENGLISH (Preferred)
